The evolution of airport lounges and luxury travel has reached the a whole new level with the arrival of Capital One Lounges. Following suit to the American Express Centurion Lounges and Chase Sapphire Lounges, Capital One has also thrown their hat into the game with their own exclusive lounge network.

The new Capital One lounge at Terminal 1 of Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas can be found right beside Gate D50 in Concourse D. Once you arrive, just show the receptionist your Capital One Venture X or Venture X Business credit card to enter with yourself and and up to 2 complimentary guests. Those without either of the cards mentioned will have to pay $90 per person for entry.

The lounge food is served as small plates and bites rather than the buffet style that you typically see at airport lounges. This lets the lounge more easily maintain a high cleanliness standard and also provides a more upscale aesthetic. I had visited during one of my early morning flights, so they had breakfast options like hearty sweet potato hash, delectable Greek yogurt parfaits, and colorful avocado toast, among others. I especially enjoyed the plating of the hot cakes, served in their own individual mini frying pans.

For beverages, the lounge provides a self-pour tap containing a wide variety of juices, sodas, and water. They even have some flavors that would seem to be special to the lounge itself, such as pineapple cream, agave vanilla cream, and black cherry tarragon. For the more boozy types, there is a full bar to drown yourself in complimentary mimosas, beers, wines, or any other alcoholic beverage of your choosing.

If you only have a limited amount of time and are unable to kick back, there is a Grab & Go section by the reception for packaged sandwiches, pastries, salads, and drinks that you can take onto your next flight.

Other amenities include 2 private rooms with noise suppression for any meetings or work-related tasks, and a relaxation room for… as you guessed it, relaxing. The gender-neutral bathrooms are also worth bringing up for their comfort and cleanliness.
